I ordered a sink tip along with the floating line I ordered, 6wt. Looking at the line it looks like a 3 or 4 wt, I checked and they don't make a 3. Does anyone have this line and is it unusually thin? It is noticeably thinner than the floating which is the 444 Classic SL, not sure whether I should try it out, might be hard to return if used. Any thoughts?

sinking line is thinner then floating line because it needs to get down...floating line is thicker so it can float higher in the water...

The "tip" part of the line should be a different colour than the rest of it. On mine it is about the last 12 or 15 feet that is dark brown and the rest of the line is light brown.

If it is all one colour (e.g. brown) then it may well be a full sinking line. Floating lines are usually lighter in colour and the sinking ones are dark.

Went out and tried the line at the park, works fine, don't know why it's so thin but it loads the rod properly.
