JR's Birthday Brown, an old warrior.

spend the day on the river today with JR in search of a big brown for his birthday. his mission to beat the twenty five inch fish from this day last year. well he found a good one, but not quit as good as last years beauty. just three inches shy. he hooked this brown on his new stix with one of his ties, a double bunnys in grey and white. not a bad fish to break in the new rod. unfortunately i think this old warriors days are numbered, it's works been done in the river and the end is nearing. great day with the boy.

That is a solid fish for sure.

Congrats on breaking in the new bug chucking stick with a good sized brown.

It is a shame that the fish is pretty much done for but at last JR was able to experience a battle with it before it passes.

i was very surprised the fish was still eating too. maybe a 3" streamer was seen as an easy big meal? can you elaborate on what you think the fungus infection might be?
