Hawaii fishing

We're finally getting some R&R in Hawaii in a week and it'll be me first time there. Did some quick research online and there is mention that bonefish do exist but are rare but I'll probably still bring the fly rod just in case.

Going to the Kauai island and was wondering if anyone has fished it before, either fly or spin?
