Anyone know the best way to anchor a 18 foot Hewescraft Sea Runner in the ocean. Will be on the west coast for a month and don't want to take it out every time I go fishing :angry3:

Use a marina

That would work great if there was on on Denman Island. Would have to take a ferry across to Vancouver island and drive up or down the coast. Might as well put it in and take it out every day. :thinking-006:

I would talk to some locals and see if there is a shared moorage point. some guys sink a big stable anchor for just that reason.

Depends were on the island the east side is sheltered a bit more most places have docks to tie off too. The west side is open ocean but get to know the tide there is nothing worse than your boat beached when you wanna wet ur line. If you go just past powell river a place called Lund it's nice and calm and the port authority guy is very nice

Wouldnt suggest it ....pull it out everyday whats the big deal? The hassel, danger and damage that can be casued aint worth the five min it takes to trailer it.
