Hey everyone,

I'm still fairly new to fishing in Alberta.

can anyone let me know of some good pike fishing spots around calgary?

Most of the lakes that are 'good pike fishing' are not open yet. Check the regs and do some exploring. I'd recommend anything ending with 'resevoir' in the southern end of the province. Read back into last summers posts on the forum here as well, probably about 10 pages back.

the bow contains lots of good pike. just got to hit the water. with a 30lb florocarbon leader you may get the odd trout as well.

You can always check out Glenmore Reservoir, there will probably be people fishing there already. Just remember bait fish is not allowed.

Chestermere is close to Calgary. Not sure if it is open or not yet.
