Nice reel but too big for most of alberta.

I reccomend xzoga spinning rod for that beast, both are practicly unbreakable. CD Sunrise close second.

I have mine on a G Loomis 6 1/2 GLX 3/16 to 5/8 wt. rod.

If I was to do it over I would have bought the 2500 way more versitile for Alberta fishing.
