Does anyone know if 3 mile bend in red deer is open for fishing yet?

check the regs if your fishing the red deer river its closed from dickson dam downstream untill may 15

The river is closed but (check the regs to be sure) the stocked ponds are usually open all year round.

There were a bunch of people fishing down there the other day. But that doesn't necessarily mean its open haha

River is closed, the pond at the dog park is open year round its not listed in the regs.

well a guy told me that he talked to a wildlife officer n he said that any lakes close to the red deer river you have to follow the river regulation

LAKES

A. For Trout-Stocked Lakes, Reservoirs and Ponds in PP2 that are named under “Alberta’s Fish Stocking Program.”
Open all year – Trout limit 5; bait allowed.
All other game fish species limit 0.

B. For Lakes, Reservoirs and Ponds listed and fish species listed under “PP2 Lake and Stream Listings” starting on this page.
You must follow the regulations stated with each listing.

C. For other PP2 Lakes, Reservoirs and Ponds not included under (A) or (B) and for fish species not mentioned at a listed lake.
Open all year – Walleye limit 3 over 50 cm; Pike limit 3 over 63 cm; Perch limit 15; Lake Whitefish limit 10; Burbot limit 2 (Burbot limit 0 - Feb. 1 to Mar. 31); (where present, Trout limit 5; Mountain Whitefish limit 5 over 30 cm); Bait allowed.

i was told the same thing about red deer f&w they say that bower ponds and three mile bend are both now classified differently now because of the flood in 2005 dumping all the other fish into them and they are no longer stocked with trout.

ya i was goin to fish river bend yesterday because im pretty sure it has not stocked anymore and ive fished it in the summer for years catching pike. Since its not a stocked pond anymore does it go under this......
