lake by whitecourt which the locals only ice fish because nobody catchs anything in open water.......i use to live there so i fished the lake for over 30 years though lake but rewarding too

Been there..threw a net in there for fish testing back in the 80's..did get one big one prob about 6 pounds..

Mcloed we have a mutual friend troutpirate he can tell u stories of the brookies i have caught outof that lake and always have it to myself i loved it....i have no problem advertising it as only the avid brookie fisherman will ever catch a fish out of this lake

Yes ....plans are being made for many adventures in the next weeks ahead and the Pirate will be along on some of those.

Your Brook trout talents would serve you your well on Fortress....
green... with a strip..high speed..... or a chronimid when it's slow

wow, just seeing this thread now. Great fish fishman! I've fished it too. 6 lbs is the biggest we've got out of there too! Mcleod...you were throwing nets when you were 10? impressive! Just too bad it is prone to the occasional winter kill.

No winterkill where this came from the lake down the road would winterkill but they havnt stocked it for years
