just a little help determining which is better and how big each is. both are beside standar 45 gallon drums. What do you think, worth going after with a bow?

That's A nice 6 foot bear between 300- 350 pounds.

Honestly, they look like the same bear....

They are both black after all...

both are miles apart, so not the same bear. which one would you take the time to chase?

I'll take the other if you want to take both :)

Both pretty much the same size. Second one maybe a little bigger but could just camera angle. Pick the closest one to your location.

best part is that the third stand also has a bear at it, no camerat there as the bears have had there way with it. :angry3: was up in the satand this weekend and notices bear **** in the stand, has anyone else ever seen evadince that a bear had been sitting in there stand?

Bears ALWAYS know where the stand or blind is at a bait station...Never leave anything in your stands...:thinking-006:

If you have never shot a bear before those will be good first bears. They are not very big but im sure bigger will come if you wait. Its still early.

thanks guys, what about guesses on lenght, I don't think the 6 foot mark is accurate but looking for some input.

Don't be so quick to say that, we have baits that were 12km apart the way the crow flies in thick bush and one year we had a sow with two cubs and she was moving them back and forth each day cleaning out both baits. They can cover ground in a quick hurry.
Good luck with those bears.

I'd Say 5'5 foot and probably score 16-17"

Yup, I would wait and see what else might come in.

BTW bears will travel, I had one bear (brown that was rubbed really bad) at two different baits 5 km apart in one night. A buddy and I were sitting at the sites that night.

all though the bears look the same they are quite different colours in direct sunlight, they are not the same bears. Thanks for the judging on size. I am hoping to draw a few big ones out for the lone weekend.

Good rule of thumb that seems fairly accurate is if the beer is standing on all fours beside barrel that is standing on end and it's back is same height as barrel it's roughly 6 foot bear. I would say both bears you posted pics of are around 5 maybe 5 1/2 footers.
