bear baiting

anybody know why bear would quit hitting a bait after two weeks only went to bait site to refill it only any ideas and help would be appreciated bear have not come back for 2 weeks now thanks in advance:angry3::angry3:

All depends on where, how and what you are using for bait. Chances are there is another bait in your area that is pulling the bears off of your bait.
How many different bears were hitting your bait?

if it was hitting yours it might be hitting another one or perhaps some one harvested. Is there others hunting in the area?

only 1 other bait in area but not being filled yet as we know the people baiting it and no one has been there since they set it up 3 weeks ago because they have to pass by our house to get there and we also set up another bait a week ago about 3/4 of a mile away or so from our other bait where we got pics on our cams but no action yet either any other suggestions thanks in advance:)

there was 2 different ones for sure they were there usually at 6:30 till 7:00 in the morning and again any where from 1 in the morning to 4 in the morning
but the two we have on camera where only about 4 1/2 feet to 5 1/2 feet tall standing up but there were tracks there of bigger ones but no pics only on out side edge of bait site we used same site last fall and had 5 different bear there every day of the fall season and harvested one there

Maybe you left it too long between baitings? May come back as usually if they find food at this time they will check there again.

we usually fill barrels half full or so and go back ever other day to refill and sit on bait thanks in advance
