hey i need some advise all i have ever used was beaver popcorn, oats and some bacon grease but seem this year i have slacked on getting some of the supplys and was wondering if any of you other great people out there would let me in a some of the things you like to use for your bear camp trips

I bought some liquorice and blueberry pie filling from a memberoff this site. Check out "attention bear hunters" in the hunting items section

16 kg of dog food and 4kg brown sugar and 5 gallons of water and mix it up tried last fall and works well for us 5 to 6 bear on bait every day also try feed oats it has mollasses in it already good luck

you can us more brown sugar to the sweeter the better

dog food alot of it lol i put 18 kg out and food from fridge that is not going to be ate. it seems to work:sHa_shakeshout:

I heard about using dog food before. I f you have a afternoon to kill try doing a honey burn. My buddy and found a big power line and started cooking honey. Took about 4 hrs and we had two bears coming in. That brought them a long ways. Need the time and patience. I was pretty cool to see them coming a long ways away.

so is it as easy as it sounds just cook some honey in a pot out on the cutline

yes used coleman stove and boiled honey. honey boils easy so take lots. we even tried some baking grease. We figure we brought him in from about 1.5 to 2 km away. Old trapped told me this is how they did it back in the 60's. Pretty casual way to hunt
