Started off the day using a tactic I never use...Nymphing so I lined up my rod and put on a SJW on the top and a PT nymph on the bottom, While walking along the shorelines I usually just drift my fly along the bank while im walking and managed to set the hook on a nice 26-27inch brown! After a 10min fight with the current and into my backing the hook finally pulls free as a kyaker floats by. Another 30 feet from there I spooked a 14-15inch brownie but i took a cast anyway with no results. As im approaching my honey hole theirs huge rainbows jumping and it didn't take long to hook into one of them. 3rd cast out with the indicator I manage my biggest bow to date! He jumped a total of 5 times during the fight and 4 consecutive jumps one after another once he was hooked. After a quick throat sample and a pic he was returned. the throat contents were big leechs and size 20 midges along with some size 16 olives(a bunch of other stuff mixed in there aswell). So I switched up to a SJW and a Olive nymph size 16 and land countless amounts of big rainbows that i lost count after around 10. I lost my net And 45mins later my net comes floating from upstream?? It was a miracle and just in time to land another fish. After I get my net I hit a grand slam in 3 casts. A bow and rocky and a brown all in a row!! After that I called it a day and started to walk back downstream to try for the brown i spooked earlier and I managed to get him to bite but I pulled it out of his mouth but seen the distinct golden brown colors on it and that was enough. All in all it was an awesome day with my personal best bow on a nymph and the most productive day I had in awhile along with the weird net mystery and torn waders from a fence It was all worth it!
Here is some pics:

My personal best bow!

Nah,

Nymphing is using wet flies instead of dry flies or streamers. It is usually a dead drift method and most fly fisherman use indicators but there is anglers that have mastered this technique without needing an indicator.

A wire worm/san juan worm/ blood worm is just one of the style of flies used for this type of technique.

Ps. Congrats on a solid day on the bow. I can't wait to get up there and get a chance at some bows and browns.

Right on FH7. The Bow has been crazy good this year and the fish are unbelievably strong this year. Even some of the whites will fool you into thinking you've got something with teeth on the end.
