...where would you shore fish tomorrow?

I'm quite the noob and have the day off tomorrow and would like some recommendations on locations close to Calgary (hour or so). I'm not looking for your secret spot but just a lake/river that isn't empty. It's all C&R so species doesn't matter. Thanks in advance.

PS I've been to Chain and PCR and am just looking for something new. If i had my way google would point me to a location where I could hike later on in the day. :bad_boys_20:

I'm going out to Allen Bill Pond tomorrow. If you happen to be there, I'll probably be the noob trying to cast a fly rod, until I run out of patience and start back using the spin rod.

I would hit up the clearwater or the bow. But then again I am in edmonton, and we don't have a trophy trout stream that close to town.

As long as your doing catch and release, the reservoir has some great pike action right now. Rent a canoe, make it a day trip.
