fished a couple hours tonight with JR. started off with a leech pattern and caught a couple fish before the boy got his bobber set up and in the water. cool, should be a good night. his first cast out a big fish slammed his indy. huh? OK this could get interesting. happened again. Dad, where's you're dry fly boxes, they're looking up? i answer, not here son. what, you're kidding Dad? I say, let me see what i can find. well found a chunk of foam, and an old favorite too. let's try. Slurp! and Slurp! and Slurp! three plump fish over 20 and a few smaller ones that managed to get the bug in their mouth. first fish up top of the year, and it was some fun! and ya after tonight, the dry fly boxes are loaded in the vest now too.:)

Nice pics. Iv'e seen those flies before and wondered other than having a nice peice of foam to float would they attract? I guess so. Sweet.

Great pictures Dace,

I think that fly is called the "city worker" or something along those lines. They are very productive, and a ton of fun to toss!

Thanks for posting!

Are those lake fish? Look too fat and colourful for bow river bows. Nice fish either way!

you're 100 percent correct on all three accounts Bud. the yellow and orange indicator foam is what gives the bug its name.
