Any ideas on installing an Eagle fish finder up front on a Crestliner? It has a quick release bracket, but I want to power it off the cigar lighter and probably mount the transducer on the MinnKota up front. I remove my trolling motor after every outing as I store the boat in a one of those rv storage yards so "quick connect" options are important.
Trying to do this on the cheap and I'm pretty handy with soldering/wiring. Any do's and don'ts would be appreciated. Thanks all.

Ps sight fishing for pike and walleye at CVR was tons of fun this weekend. Head there soon if you can. 8 ft deep clear water was the best.

I mounted my Lowrance on an old Coleman lunch cooler.
Good luck trying to mount the transducer on the trolling motor. You are probably better off getting a minkota bow mount with a universal transducer.
As for power just extend the power cables that came with the unit and run from the battery.

These do work, makes mounting easier.

To be portable, solder a cig lighter end on instead of the aligator clips,
and by a transducer extention cord to un plug from,
and find yourself a portable box mount.

Very easy to do.
