took the new lowe 175fm out today for the maidien trip. fueled up and got the lake about 11am. installed the new navitronics chip in the hds 8 and mister that structure scan is to fish what fire was to the caveman. Did a few motor runs to breakin the new 115 merc. went ot a couple old fishng holes and started to fish. caught 3 male walleye 18-20 inch 1 female walleye 24 inches long. also caught 3 pike unsized and 2 legal sized pike. i played with all the gadgets and put stuff away and then moved it around every time i caught a fish lol. They do not have the dock in at the north end yet and i found out that this boat is a little harder to load than my old 14 foot boat was and a dock would have been nice because the water is very cold. hope everyone had a good central opener.

Hit Sylvan at 6:30am, no docks in at Sunbreaker Cove yet:angry3:
they were biting, but water was only 44 degrees at best
took about an hour to get the first to stay on, about a 14 incher.
Biggest on the day was 17.5 inches, for a total of 7 walleye.
Sun came out at 2 and I was home by 4, not a bad opener.
