Nothing huge at all but we did have some hogs on.
Good to see the walleye in Wabamun lake, first one i have ever seen caught in that lake before, so there is walleye in the lake.

I foresee a tournament team in the making here, with high odds of taking home the cash consistantly

I thought the lakes were not open until the may long weekend, was there a change in the regulation?

The 15th there open but most people do not get to go until May long weekend.

Wabamun Lake & tributaries & outlet & canals
Apr. 1 to May 14 – CLOSED
May 15 to Sept. 30 – Walleye limit 0; Pike limit 0; Perch limit 0; Lake Whitefish limit 0; Burbot limit 0.

Was fun out there. took a bit to figure out how the pike were bitting at this time of year, but once we did it was fun. no big girls this trip but nice to get out as always. And i couldn't believe that walleye hit a 8inch daredevil spoon. lol.

Nice work catching the Walleye! That is the first picture of someone catching a walleye out of Wabamun since the last restock. You're the man!

First Walleye I have seen out of Wabamun, congrats. Fished there yesterday from about 2pm until about 6pm, between moonlight bay and the old intake channel, but only got two small hammer handles. Lac St Anne was fishing well earlyer in the day.

Depends how big of a boat, there are many places to launch the easiest would be the provincial park boat launch and the Wabamun town boat launch 50 street @ 51ave or on the other end of the lake at Seba beach.

Nice pictures! I was also out there all day yesterday. Pretty much all over the lake, caught 17 pike between two of us. Largest was close to 10 pounds right in that same spot where you got that walleye, rest were around the 4 pound mark.

The walleye are from lake isle across the highway. They transported 500 summer before the winter kill. Glad to see they survived but sure hope it doesn't wreck an awesome pike fishery.
