Boat question

Bought a 16 footer fiberglass boat with 60 hp motor on it but the guy doesn't have the old registration for it but provided me a bill of sale. My question is: can I use the boat while waiting for my transfer of registration since it is on process? Heard you got 90 days but not sure about it!

Are there reg numbers on the bow? I got a 90 day temp registration when I purchased my new boat but the hull had been registered with transport Canada. Call CT to find out.

There is the reg number on it but wanna tell you the boat is used so the guy doesn't have any of the old registration. It should be good when he hand that old form to me and I can use it as a temporary one. Wonder if I can use the bill of sale just in case park patrol stopped me....
