Ive been fishing the stocked ponds around fort McMurray a few times and have recently got back into fly fishing. I've got a new 9 wt 9' for pike and my old CT special 7 /8wt as a spare and a newer 8'6" 6 wt for trout. My question is these little rainbows are fun to catch at the stocked lakes but I need a super light system to have any fun fighting an 8" trout, any suggestions on a 2 or 3 wt rod set up?
Thanks.

I got a TFO finesse 2 wt rod last year it's awesome, hooking into a 12 inch rainbow lots of fun.

I bought a TFO BVK 3 w for ponds and small streams. It's an absolute blast wish I had gotten a light setup sooner!!! It's a little tough to use in the wind though.

Sage txl anything from 000- 2wt would be fun paired with a nice light reel.
