Thinking of heading out again tonight, wouldn't mind fishing with someone that could teach me a few tricks, not doing too bad but can always learn more! Usually head out solo.

do you fish in the city? quick question Andy, how far off shore did that sturgeon bite on whatever rig you were using?

sureshot

No I fish out west of the city as I live in stony plain. I was probably 30-40 feet out. Sometimes you don't have to be very far out.

Like I said before it takes a big man to apologize and especially in public. That goes a long way with me. Plus life is to short to hold grudges. My wife caught 2 red horse suckers today.

those are very nice looking with the bright red fins! caught a huge one few days ago, seems like walleye and sturgeon and the only fish I

no pic, when fishing solo it's kind of hard, tho that was my first quill back, decided that sometimes getting a nice fish back in the water as quick as possible is better then letting flop around on shore for a pic, much easier with a buddy around!

was referring to Andy's wives catch, mine was %100 a quill, Did my research after a few stupid posts

The walleyes were hammering the minnows today and very close to shore maybe 20 feet out. You've got one up on me I've never caught a quill back. I also use the gulp spray on my bait. I'm heading back out tomorrow early in the morning. Good luck .

I'll be heading out to Goldbar and Capillano tomorrow with my ultralight and fly rod trying my luck for my first Goldeye. If you see me feel free to say hello, I'll be the one with gear seemingly far too light for the purpose.

Anyone else experience a slow day at the Herm NSR today? I began to think that the fish had taken the day off as well. My daughter and I were there from 3:30 to 6:30. I caught a Goldeye on the first cast, and neither of us caught anything for the rest of the time (although each of us almost landed one more, before it jumped off the hook). Others there were mentioning that it was quite slow for them as well.

BGSH has a point, made a huge mistake n went to try the mouth of whitemud yesterday. Came around the corner and saw over 20 ppl fishin in a 100yd area, that's not the weird part, a group of older asians had a bag with about a dozen fish in it flapping around in the inch of water they were left in. inspected closely looking for walleye but only had suckers and Goldeye....why would they keep 6-8 suckers?!?! hope they dont own a restaurant!!!

I had the same thing on sunday there was a group of them where I fish, and keeping everything so I wandered over and asked what they had caught and the reply was I don't know. So I asked if I could see the fish all they had were suckers and goldeye. I informed them of what kind of fish they had and told them which fish they couldn't keep. RAP would of been called if there was walleye in their basket. They cooked up some of the fish while on shore. I am not being racist either I'm just telling it how it was.
