Every summer I spend some time at Shushwap lake near Sorrento. Can anybody help me with some fly fishing techniques that would land some of the big ones in there? and tips on the Adams river would also be appreciated.
Thanks!

Try matching the hatch when you see fish rising. If they aren't rising, try using some sinking like and cast along structure with leech or shiner patterns.
If you want to land some HUGE northernpike minnows try using evil weevils and casting them shallow under a strike indicator (about 6 inches). Work them really slowly, and the hits are subtle, but that's what the indicator is for! Good luck!

Try using some clouser minnows. Either drifting with the wind or trolling. White/blue or white/green are the one's that I usually tie up. Always have some red in them. I usually tie in a bit of a beard of red on the fly. Other minnow pattersn will work well. Try an alevin patterns around the Addams.

What time of year are you going? Usually dont use flies on the big lake after about June 21st. Aforementioned flies would work well though. Also, had good luck using large muddler patterns. On that end of the lake I would fish right in Blind Bay or around Copper Island. As for Adams River, if you are late in the summer the outflow may produce. Try casting egg patterns at first light but be very careful wading here the lake drops off fast.
