What the Heck???

I decided to brave the rain yesterday, and got this gater. The back on this one fish was skinned down to the flesh. Any ideas if this is from parasites, or a larger pike?

Looks like it might be pike "Red Sore". It is ussually at it's peak in the spring and at spawing time. Usually gets better latter when the water temps go up a bit. There are reports that it is viral and other reports that it's bacterial.

Never heard or red sore. It looked weard to me. Is this a parasite thats waterborne or is it something that all the fish in the area might have?
