Got out this morn even tho I was a little late getting going.
Nice calm morning to start, the lake is my guess 35-40ft. low but should fill up once the snow melts. Water temp is a cold 36 degrees f.
Tossed a jig around the camp ground and caught one little guy, then went across and got a nice 5 lb.
Wind picked up around 11 and the whitecaps chased the only other boat off the lake, a small 12 footer, and a good decision on his part.
Wound up with 6, which for me was I consider an exceptional day at Minnewonka. Kept one about 3 lbs that took the hook deep and was bleeding pretty bad but all in all not a bad day on the lake.
