During our recent Algonquin adventure thousands of dragonflies were emerging. Using dark jig head/twister tail the same size as the nymphs was the only was to intice the walleye to strike.

Cool video. I've never seen a mass dragon fly emergence but have seen a massive damsel fly emergence on a lake in northern AB. There were literally thousands and the trout fishing was good. It must have been ideal conditions.

Glad to hear you caught a few walleye.

The Blackflies were out in mass swarms and over the last 2 days of our wilderness adventure the Dragonflies were emerging everywhere, including on the Kayaks, our boots and at the camp site 50 feet from the waters edge. Unfortunatly not fast enough to relieve the onslaught of biting flies. We will be heading back up into the woods again soon for another trip and will post the next episode here
