Going up there with my dad next week wondering how the fishing is?

fishing is good, next weekend is the tournament though so I wouldnt plan on fishing the east end.

The Slave Lake Golden Walleye Classic, if you wanna share the boatlaunch/ fishing spots with a bunch of guys ripping around in huge rigs trying to get their share of a huge payout then fish the east end. If not go further west or elsewhere, I usualy fish the river on that weekend.

Whoops, that would be right. Either way its probably less frustration for everyone if the recreational angler fishes a different area.
