due to inclement weather and oil spills,my local haunts are unfishable or dead. I have been fishing a few local trout ponds. sz 12-16 cronimids in bright green, copper and maroon have the little guys going off. still fished 18-24" under a small indicator when the bite slows down. short slow strips keeping the fly just under the surface has them hitting over and over. my best results have come from the up wind end of the ponds in the transition from calm water to wind riffle. if using spining gear a small weighted bobber with a small fly would produce similar results. tight lines, limit you catch, leave some for everyone.
