any one here how the pinehurst walleye tournament went this year didnt get a chance to fish it due to work.

The water was way too calm both days for pinehurst fishing. Good tourny except they didnt have any weight's on the scoreboard after the first day, so nobody knew where they were in the standings.

I heard there was a few at 21 lbs after day one and i think after day 2 first place was somewhere in the 38 to 40 lb range. I didnt hang around for the end posting but my partner and i got our entry back with 15th place @ around 33 lbs

I was told there was quite an uproar amongst some of the long-timers about the scale being used Friday, something like weighing heavy(?). Hopefully there was a fair solution to the issue.

Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday there had been 50k winds, days and nights, pushing most of the bait to the west shore, scattering the feeders. 4 legals in the net both days we (pre)fished, aggregate maybe 30-34lbs.

One 54cm male we boated Saturday was still milting, so the spawn might be late this year.

oh wow hopefully it wasnt true about the scale over weighting but as long as it weighed heavy for everyone.

We had a great time!! it was my first event with my new rig. I look forward to doing many more tourney's in the future!! I know the winning weights were close to 40 lbs. Kudo's to those guy's because fishing was extremely tough!!!

What about the bye into the Vanity? I heard that prize was not offered this year, but rumours abound.
