i have a dilemma, i have a 150 johnson 2 stroke. but no means to troll. will one of those trolling plates that drops down in behind prop work with a motor of that size. also have a 15 horse johnson on my little aluminum that could be put on with kicker plate. trying to do which is more cost effective, as budget allows.

a 15 kicker would be a good option... guessing its a pretty big boat to have a 150 on it so the 15 would get you a nice slow troll... worse comes to worse the cheapest would be to troll backwards

I have one rated for 20HP barely used but I'm in Red Deer.
Cheers.

Trolling plate will work no problem. Buddy of mine uses one on his 115 all the time.
