Im just wondering if there are any fish in that lake? i was reading on the Ifish app and it sounds like the lake winter killed 4 year ago and never came back.

Thanks for any info.

The lake has been suffering a lot the past few years. Low water, algae blooms that has caused winter kills. There is some cool trout lakes located near by thunder lake. I would phone Ray at the Barrmart and ask him about some of the other lakes. The # is 1-780-674-3221. His store moves lots of fishing tackle due to its location on Hwy 18 just 3 blocks west of Hwy 33.
Happy Fish Huntin.

There is, just got to find them, Biggest I got was 6lbs but seen an 8lb pulled out of there, and as mentioned the is probably bigger ones in there. As for going to Manitoba, why?.. Fishingeek got the world record in Saskatchewan, and Piprell lake in Sask has seen 13lb bows pulled up. The old owners of Rainbow lodge there, are close family friends, and have said they have caught bigger in the 80's.

Just to be clear, if you didn't pick up on my humor. I was mocking a previous thread that someone was bashing Alberta trout lakes saying it I more worth there time to drive to Manitoba. I have personally caught Rainbows up to 8 lbs within 15 minutes from Edmonton. There are some real lunkers around here you just have to learn to catch them!
