What is the best way to access Hasse Lake? From satellite it looks like R.R. 21 from the north is the best route. (Range Road 21 from south looks like private property.)

I understand that there are no shortage of shore locations at Hasse. Are there specific spots to avoid?

easiest way drive straight out Whitemud past Casino, go down gravel, go past Stony, stay on road and it drives into the park. The lake blows for fishing, seagulls took it over, and I don`t think they stock any more. If you grab a map you can avoid gravel by coming out 16 A, turn south or left on RR 15, go past Spring Lake, and you can turn right on Seconday Highway 628 (Whitemud) and drive yourself right into the park. You can also go on RR 21 on the west side of Spring Lake too. Theres a Race Track gas on the corner of 21 and Whitemud (628 where you can get bait and supplies) and you turn right and drive three minutes west and south right into the park.

Theres a dock in the park for fishing if you can actually catch anything anymore. Theres a boat launch for small boats, and you can find spots all over the lake to fish. Chances are fishing spots are plentiful.

Fishing spots will be plentiful alright, in fact you will probably be the only one there!

There is trout there but the pike in there have them for dinner or midnite snack.

The pike cleaned those out as well.

If im correct this lake was a compleat winterkill two years ago. I will admit that I could be wrong, but have not caught, seen, or heard of a fish of any kind being caught. They also stoped stocking it a couple years back, due to a pike population starting.

Nah, I think we should blame the winter kill and low water.

How I dream of the 30" rainbows my dad use to catch out of their during the early fall backswimmer hatch when I was a kid.

There is also a fecal matter advisory on that lake from environment Canada. Even if there was fish I wouldn't eat them.
