Steelhead from the Cowichan River

Not bad for a couple of guys out for a weekend.

I love that river, got a four pound brown from a hole named "Sandy" something. Plan on going back next year with the camper, stayed at Stoltz pool campground beautiful place. Huge cedars, black bear on the hill, Bald Eagle flying up the valley and the family of river otters made for a great trip.
Nice fish by the way.

Cowichan river is the river i caught my first steelhead, i was fishing a pool right in the town of cowichan right in front of some guys house.....he was a artist and turned out to be a friend of my ex wifes uncle.I thought the area was unreal and people are friendly and helpfull.......anyways later towards night i ran into two guys fishing a hole and they were from the town........i told them i was from alberta and he said u guys are lucky u have northern pike and he would like to fish them.......i said to him are you out of your mind........look what you have and u want to go fish jacks..........lol
