Beaumont Pond CLOSED till further notice

Just a heads up the trout pond in Beaumont is closed pending water testing for a potential health hazard (ie. algae bloom).

Bylaw are going to be handing out tickets as it seems certain people either cannot read, cannot heed warnings, or just don't care in general.

Most of the people I asked seemed to think the signs were not official as they look home made and there were no explanations, bylaw numbers or dates of activation.

Doesn't every lake bloom?

I'm sure if they start handing out fines people will stop fishing.

Bylaws are bylaws I guess, but if you aren't keeping the fish I don't understand what the problem is.

I used to work for the town public works...they don't have official signs for this....they put up whatever they have.

Makes it no less important to follow.
