Is the road to Rock Lake washed out?

I heard that the road into Rock Lake North of Hinton was washed out

If anyone from those parts could confirm it would be greatly appreciated!

On the Alberta Parks website as of June 26, road is washed out and closed till it can be repaired.

In 1968 I remember my father asking the same question. Everyone at the Hinton gas station said the road was washed out. Our friend who owned the old Hinton hotel that has since burned down told us different.

Things have not changed.

My brother and family are headed there tomorrow. I checked the web site and it says it re-opened this afternoon. From what I read it should be OK unless it rains a bunch.
