Last year when we went fishing at pigeon lake we would catch at least 50 walleye every time. The sad part is the biggest walleye we caught all year was 4lbs. Is there any spots where there are some bigger ones? Also in the 2005 season we caught alot of walleye that were six pounds. One trip we went in 2005 in the spring caught 6 six pounders in a day. The biggest walleye we took out of that lake was 8lbs 2oz. Pigeon has gone way down since then. Your lucky to haul in a 4 pounder.

ya. Its a shame because there is so many walleye in their but you can't keep any. To bad I didn't catch those ones up at slave so i could keep them. I never keep anything out of pigeon, not even pike because all the species besides walleye are in trouble at that lake.

My wife and I put in for tags at Pigeon. Not because I'm looking to catch "the big one" but to take more of the over populated 43-50 cm out of the lake. I hope there are enough tags for Pigeon that people apply for to start to make a difference on their numbers. Probably a drop in the bucket so far but maybe after a few more years of tags on Pigeon....just might do it.

My .2 cents.
