Pigeon shore fishing/day use site

can anyone tell me if there is a day use area at Pigeon,i saw Mitchell and Mission Beach but can't find any info on the area.The wife wants to get out and try some fishing but i dunno if taking the 12ft jon boat out there is a good idea this weekend,plus she never fishes,so i thought maybe somewhere off shore and maybe we can use the day use site and have a small fire,eat and head back home..If anyone has any recommendations i'd greatly appreciate it..Thanks

Take the boat, you will gets to more places, like the outside of the weeds.

Anchor out in 8-12 feet of water they are there and willing to bite . Use 1/32nor 1/4 oz jig heads something that will get it down fast but light . To fill the bites they were biting very sensitively .
