Got out on Friday and Monday. Wind was howling out of the west until early evening Friday but once the wind died down we had an excellent evening catching lots of pike although nothing larger than 30 inches.
Monday was a perfect day for long drifts and and bottom bouncing and caught many walleye (and a few hammer handles) through out the day. My brother in law needs a book called bottom bouncing for dummies as every time he reeled up he had a tangled mess. Myself and his brother never had a tangle. LOL. Good to be back on the water although I am anxious to get some river fishing in. Rick.

i am thinking about heading here sat morning. Seeing as i have never been before, are there any good shore spots?

I was amazed out how clear the water was at the dam last week considering that they inlet canal is like chocolate milk. The pike bite was definitely on there last week.
