New rod ideas???

Getting a new rod soon, but am stuck on a couple. I mostly fish pike with larger lures such as #4 len thompsons, 6/8" x raps,, husky jerks, etc. I also am starting to get into sturgon and rig fishing on the nsr, and would like to use this same set up. Im thinking a fenwick canadian thats 6,6 mh, fast tip, or a heartland thats 7", but lighter. Also lokng at a #40 quantom kinettic reel. Any ideas/ better set ups that you would recomend. My budget is $180.

You can get into a nice Sterdy pike / sturgeon set up for 180 bucks , do you know how to opperate a Baitcaster ? Or would you be willing to learn , if your willing to learn Ill gladly teach .
