View Full Version : Shore fishing in Valleyview area,

In the area for work, just looking to throw a hook in the water and kill a couple hours in the evening. Anyone know of where I can go?

Off the dock in sturgeon lake.
Either park works not too bad.
You can also try the shore in the narrows of sturgeon lake.
Better fishing there.

There is a small trout pond off the hiway headed north I have never fished there but I know it's there probably half way to the hp turn off

That would be swan lake.
Better off in a boat on that lake although it's small.

Correction - that would be east dollar lake :sign0161: 20 min N lhs about the only place thats clear around the shore is the launch, almost impossible to fish from shore due to willows and wet/soft ground. usually decent late in the evening.

Swan west towards GP past sturgeon.

Aww yes sorry.
I always think north is hwy 43 but its more west.
I think swan would be much better due to as you mentioned and I think it may be even slightly closer. I've never fished east dollar myself but have heard good things about it. Pulled out some hogs from swan.
Haven't been in a few years though.

My uncle has a cabin in the narrows, I fish there alot.
Sometimes I'm too lazy to put the boat in the water!

also have an uncle with a cabin in the Narrows - if anyone is heading there to fish - please keep it clean!
