Fly Fishing in the Kallispell / Whitefish Area

We are heading done to a cabin between Kallispell and Whitefish the last two weeks in August and was wondering if anyone has ever been down there to do any fly fishing or even spin cast fishing? I am the only one in the group who fly fishes but everyone else fishes, just not fly fishes. I was just wondering if anyone would be willing to point me the right direction for time of year down there?
