Depends on what you want to fish ..

Trout you can,t beat Maligne Lake.. you can rent boats at the boat house for the day .. if you want to spend and get a guided trip it will be Totally Awesome .. Rainbows and Brook Trout

Pike/Lake Whitefish .. Talbot Lake you will drive by as you come in from Hinton/Edmonton.. boat rentals available too and guides

Rocky Mountain Whitefish/Bull Trout ... Athabasca River Where the Snaring river/Maligne river runs in downstream abit in the clearer water and casting into dirty..

just got back from jasper today and the water levels are very high , rivers are blown out and fast and high ,murky. the lakes seam to be all right, talbot along 16 east of town is fishing fair. Maline is high ,clear and they seam to be catching a few . enjoy your time . rod

Ended up fishing the valley of 5 lakes,fished the 5th lake seen lots of fish.They were spooky it was to hot,but a nice little hike great scenery.
