Change the treble on your spoon to a Siwash hook, Then tie a small piece of 30# Flouro from the hook eye and the other end around the shank of the hook. Slide that down to the pinched barb and tighten leaving an arc of flour that is taller than the hook point. You effectively have a weedless spoon.
