Forgot to post this up this past week as it was super busy at work.

The week before it was low and clear.. on the 7th it was high and murky, but clear in slack water.

Fished maybe 5 hours, I took my GF's eldest son out fishing, and he caught his first walleye. Also took CPT_420 who i met at a Edmonton Walmart on the way out.

I finally got to use the 4x4 in my new-two-me Pathfinder. The road in was ok but muddy and the last 4 kms i had no choice but to engage the 4x4, yay. LOL first 4x4 for me...forgive me.

About a total of 12 walleyes caught and two pike, the pike were very small. 8 or so walleyes were lucky enough to be keeper size ( by mere cm's), and we kept 3 for the pan. Im really enjoying this river. and plan on doing some more fishing on it and exploring tomorrow

A few pics....forgive the cheesy edits. Oh, and the GF's kid is as pale as his mom, so his pics were kind of reflective with the sun LOL

Hwy 16...on the way early AM

Managed the most walleyes myself, but they all were about this size.

We didnt fish long by most standards. The road was dry on the way out and a nap was needed when I got home as I only slept for 2 hours after a long days work before I made this trip.

Looking forward to tomorrow and exploring

I like this spot. The Nissan Pathfinder is narrow enough to fit down the quad trails to get down to the water. (sorry Duffy4, but the trails were already there :))

Nice pictures! I can't get enough of nice pictures of the outdoors and of fishing. Sounds like a good day was had by your threesome. Congrats.

So you saying you are in a reflective relationship? :fighting0030:

Interesting spot on the river for sure, I was amazed at how wet and muddy those quad trails and backroads still were in that area with the lack of rain around that time frame. The pathfinder handled it like a champ lol.

Nice work...what did I tell you about the old gal...you can go many places a pickup can't! Are you a believer? :)

Good choice in reels. Those new white Stradcs are "the cat's meow, baby", as the messiah- Al Linder would say. Anyone been up around Sangudo lately? If so, how was it?

if im not mistaken.....Al Linder has gone back to Quantum, for a while now.

But yes the Stradic FJ is a fine reel.

Looks awesome. I also have a Pathfinder... You won't be disappointed with it, I have gotten into some spots not many other people could because of it... Narrow quad trails, bumpy paths, snow... Great all-around vehicle, has never failed me. Hope you enjoy it!

um...didnt say I was outfished...lol.

As for trip... Hoping. But you told me you don't like bass, more of a walleye person you said. Maybe some silver bass on the Red. Lol I'm supposed....to go in August, and again in fall when the greenbacks run up the red.

You are correct , I did say that but there isn't a fish I haven't meet I don't like hammering the hook into . But yes walleye is where the heart lays .

You got my number lol . I'll just get ahold of you .

As for you being outfished you know it happened .
