Holy Dragonflies Batman!

I live in Sylvan but work in Red Deer. Leaving work today and on the drive home I saw huge swarms of large black dragonflies. Several hundred in Bower Place parking lot alone.

Should result in some good topwater action on the river as they were swarming around the Hwy 2 bridge as well.

We're on holidays at our RV lot south of Mulhurst on Pigeon Lake now, and I don't ever recall seeing so many dragonflies out here. Also a lot of swallows and bats flying around. Very few mosquitos bothering us on the deck. Coincidence...? I think not. Adios, bloodsuckers!

I was down by the bower ponds fishing the RDR and there is nothing looking up yet.
