WOW I don't think we have deep enough water for em to grow that big here.

Buddy of mine caught an 11 footer out there about 5 yrs ago. Never been lucky enough to even try fishing for em.

Amazing fish!

Gotta wonder if there are any in there that could top it for size. Probably not too many. That would've been a white sturgeon, though. I believe we have the smaller sized species, the lake sturgeon in Alberta.

If it was a full 4 meters, that is just a hair under 13'...very nice fish. Way back when, there were some 14'-16' beasties commercially fished out of the Fraser, but it will take a good number of decades before we see any amount of that sort of size again.

LOL.....your buddy is good at fish stories then. Lake sturgeon do not get anywhere near as big as White sturgeon.....tell your buddy to go pick you up a flux capacitor at Cambodian Tire.....you want to go back to 1955 for the weekend....
