fishfinder repair

Does anybody out there know how to properly splice a tranducer cable for a eagle fishfinder or know where tomget it done. My unit works good except for tore cable in half. Thanks for the help

Pretty simple. Should be an outer cover wire and an inner wire . Seperate them , solder them , cover them well enough to water proof them and make sure the two cables cannot make contact with each other. You may get some interference , or you could spend $70 and get a new one.

$70.00 and get a new one....you may get lucky with a self repair, but there is an 80%+ chance of nothing but problems from now on...
