Hi there,

I am looking for a really good taxidermist to do a bear rug this spring. Perferably Edmonton area. I found this photo on the forum somewhere a while ago, and I apologize for stealing it, but it is exactly what I am looking for. Whoever did it, did an awesome job.

I am not really partial to cost, I just want a good job done.

Thanks for your advice guys.

in edmonton first recommendation would be brian dobson at artistic but be prepared to wait for a year if not more for your bear, richard page does very good work for the price and turn around time is usually less than 6 months, you can pm me for his number

Richard Page (adrossan) by far the best, If you want to wait 2.5 years then go to artistic

I had 2 done last year by First Choice Taxidermy, Greg Fournier, from Vilna. They were done quickly and were done very well. 780-636-3733

I had one done by Alberta Taxidermy in Edmonton and was very pleased. You can go see Manfred and check oout the work on display at the shop. He does a ton of bears, and has the look down pat, as well as reasonable rates and turn around time.

Has anyone used Wildlife Originals by Clarence Kriaski for bear or wolf? I seen he does awsome work on deer.

I used Starky in north Edmonton. He did a great job on my wolf rug, and it only took 7 months. The job was great, and the price reasonable.
