Thinking of hitting these rivers next week. Does anybody know if they are fishable or are they high and muddy

This is probably a little late, but just spent 5 days camping at Livingstone Falls (only one day fishing though... sigh). Baring a whole bunch of rain since Tuesday afternoon, the rivers are just fine, as usual this time of year. A few pics from Monday (didn't take a lot, too busy fishing... :) ) and a treat when we were heading back home through "the gap" on Tuesday.

I told it to make it's 'mean' face, and this is what it gave me...

Was kind of hoping to see mama come wandering out of the bush, but no such luck. Cool nonetheless!

Nice pictures!

Cool you saw a bear, I haven't seen one this year in that area yet... Saw quite a few last year, but nothin this year.

Thanks for sharing.

Random question, Do you carry bear spray?

Thanks, and it was definitely cool. It was just bouncing around like it didn't have a care in the world. Certainly wasn't bothered by vehicles driving past, nor us parked on the side of the road. Would been even better to spot the mama, but I'll settle for the little one.

The last bear I'd seen was at the bottom of 'the hump' between Bear pond and Indian Graves- small little black bear running across the road- but that was ~15 years ago. This was ~5-10 miles west of Maycroft, just off the road. Other than those, I've never seen a bear between Racehorse and Livingstone in the 26 odd years I've been going out there. Guess I'm not looking hard enough... Lol.

When fishing? Yes. Bear spray and a large knife on my belt. No need for spray when you're sitting in the truck though... Lol
