Was thinking of taking my annual 3 hr drive there next week.

Most important how is the boat launch

Troller, I just called for. There was an automated message on the phone, but they say that the fish are biting and the campground is 95% back to normal. I would guess that means that the boat launch should be ok. I'm heading out that way too, not sure if we'll be at Carolside or Blood Indian.

Boys and I do an annual fishing trip there. Never tried Carolside although we have driven past it many times. Pike?

Yep, mostly pike in there. Can be really good if you know where you're going. Its my favorite southern res.

Not sure what number you called and got an automated answer but I would try Special Areas office, they run the place. They are closed now till Tuesday morning. 403-779-3733. I'm thinking 90% is a stretch, but I think the boat launch on the west side is good.

I stand corrected! Toured Blood Indian this afternoon and appears everything is pretty much back to normal. Water was clear but lots of weeds. Talked to one fella that said fishing was good till this afternoon. Was 33 celsius this afternoon there.
