jigging for pike picture

Hi im on water now. Just jigging walleye aand this young girl hit. Just barely 35"

But caught leaderless on 6 lb fluoro on my 500 series shimano

What a rush. Wanna feel some line spool give this a try. Lots of fun.

Fish released for next time. Pics i guess a bit later call issues

sometimes you get lucky, and the jig hits just the right spot. always a rush with a big fish and light line :sHa_shakeshout:

nice. I saw dodger catch a nice pike on his perch outfit one time too, Ive :angry3:never had that kind of luck, they always take home a trophy.

Buddy of mine down at mccinnis flats did the samething, 7 ft light med rod, 8lb test.....gets a bite figures it's the brownie of all brownies! Gets it close to shore andddddddd it's a 16 lb pike.... Just as he gets it to shore to land it, it rolls and shredded the line....he had to carry it out on a stick slung over his back for the km long hike......no leaders nothing, just a silver mepps...

Nice pix! I tried jiggin' walleye at wabby and ended up with only pike way down at 20 foot depths.
