Yes quite a bit...."pea soupish" last weekend. NE shores were the worst...over by Calhoun Bay.

Thanks for the note. That helps make my decision for my holidays in Sept

how are they biting at buck? I haven't been there this year but maybe would head up this weekend if a guy can catch a few.

Thanks,

Lake is VERY "Peasoup" like. The bite has been very slow the last few weeks and the water is very warm... 74 - 76 ish fahrenheit. Still catching fish, just not in large numbers.

Was there yesterday up by the north end. Definitely not pea soupish but algae present. Between 3 of us in 3 hours of trolling around we caught around 20 walleyes (biggest was 48 cm), 4 pike and 2 perch (around 11 to 12 inch).

What were you trolling Johnny AB? Usual diving cranks? What color is working best in the algae if you don't mind me asking?

Thanks.

I have not been to Buck Lake for years. Used to put the boat in by the place that sold boats. It was and may still be a sand launch. Is that the best place to launch a boat there?

Me and a buddy fish Buck the second weekend in September and the water is like that every year. Fish still bite though. Were going to go to Pigeon this year because of the size limit increase but they tell me both campgrounds will be closed and not to eat the fish so now I'm trying to decide what to do. Want to catch some keepable walleye within a couple hour drive of Wetaskiwin. Any ideas?

Was there last weekend and had poor luck. North End was very green, South end seemed a bit more clear though. (Wind out of the South) Lots of Whitefish floating, I think the heat and algae are getting to them.
Did not have any luck.
Hope you do better then the wife and I if you head out that way.
